Wellcome Genome Campus identified as key investment opportunity in new Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor prospectus
The Wellcome Genome Campus has been recognised as a key investment opportunity in the government’s new Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor prospectus. The prospectus highlights the region’s potential to boost the UK economy by up to £78 billion by 2035 through major investment in infrastructure, talent, and science-led development.
As one of the largest investments in the UK’s life sciences and technology infrastructure, the ongoing expansion at the Wellcome Genome Campus is transforming the site into a world-class centre for genomics, personalised medicine, biodata, and artificial intelligence.
With new state-of-the-art laboratories and commercial spaces, the campus is set to support the UK’s ambition to be a hub for innovation-driven business, attracting global firms and spin-outs to scale alongside major research institutes.
As part of the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor, the campus will continue to drive collaboration and investment across the region, strengthening the UK’s position as a global leader in science and technology.
